HPE reports stronger AI server orders

Citing robust demand for AI servers, HPE reported revenue of $7.2 billion for its 2nd quarter ended April 30, 2024, up 3% from the prior-year period in actual dollars and 4% in constant currency.

Non-GAAP earnings per share amounted to $0.42, down 19% from the prior-year period and down 13% sequentially, above the company's guidance range of $0.36 to $0.41.

"HPE delivered very solid results in Q2, exceeding revenue and non-GAAP EPS guidance. AI systems revenue more than doubled from the prior quarter, driven by our strong order book and better conversion from our supply chain,” said Antonio Neri, president and CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise. “Our deep expertise in designing, manufacturing, and running AI systems at scale fueled growth of cumulative AI systems orders to $4.6 billion, with enterprise AI orders representing more than 15%. HPE’s AI advantage, increased HPE GreenLake adoption, and leading infrastructure portfolio, as well as an improved supply chain environment, set us up very well to deliver a strong second half."

“Stronger AI systems order conversion, prudent cost discipline, and higher-than-expected free cash flow drove a very solid performance in Q2. Because of our robust AI systems order momentum and disciplined execution across our entire portfolio, we are raising our revenue and non-GAAP EPS guidance for the full year,” said Marie Myers, executive vice president and CFO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Highlights

  • Server revenue was $3.9 billion, up 18% from the prior-year period in actual dollars and in constant currency, with 11.0% operating profit margin, compared to 14.4% from the prior-year period.
  • Intelligent Edge revenue was $1.1 billion, down 19% from the prior-year period in actual dollars and in constant currency, with 21.8% operating profit margin, compared to 24.7% in the prior-year period.
  • Hybrid Cloud revenue was $1.3 billion, down 8% from the prior-year period in actual dollars and 9% in constant currency, with 0.8% operating profit margin, compared to 1.9% from the prior-year period.
  • Financial Services revenue was $867 million, up 1% from the prior-year period in actual dollars and in constant currency, with 9.3% operating profit margin, compared to 8.9% from the prior-year period.

HPE GreenLake + VMware Cloud targets hybrid cloud

Hewlett Packard Enterprise and VMware are promising to deliver a joint solution with a simple pay-as-you-go hybrid cloud consumption model that combines HPE GreenLake and VMware Cloud.

VMware Cloud can be fully integrated across the HPE GreenLake portfolio including HPE GreenLake for Private Cloud Enterprise and customers will be able to deploy on-premises, in colocation facilities or at the edge, all managed by HPE GreenLake.

The HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform provides customers and partners with a unified experience and access to more than 70 cloud services. 

HPE GreenLake currently supports more than 120,000 users, powers more than two million connected devices, and manages more than one exabyte of data with customers worldwide. Among the top 100 HPE customers, nearly 80 percent have already adopted the HPE GreenLake platform. Organizations benefit from one platform from which to automate, orchestrate, and run their hybrid cloud strategy.

HPE sees strength with Intelligent Edge and HPC solutions

Hewlett Packard Enterprise reported net revenue of $7.0 billion for its third quarter, ended July 31, 2022, up 1% and 4% adjusted for currency compared to a year earlier. GAAP diluted net EPS was $0.31, up 7% from the prior-year period and up 63% sequentially. Non-GAAP diluted net EPS was $0.48, up 2% from the prior-year period and up 9% sequentially. 

“Our continued innovation and focus on execution resulted in revenue and profit growth, which are particularly noteworthy in such a dynamic market. Our growth in recurring revenue this fiscal year is evidence of customers’ strong response to our HPE GreenLake platform,” said Antonio Neri, president, and CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise. “Customers continue to prioritize investments in IT and are finding HPE’s industry-leading edge-to-cloud portfolio to be particularly relevant in today’s complex macroeconomic environment, where technology innovation is critical to accelerate business transformation and deliver important business outcomes.”

Highlights:

  • Intelligent Edge revenue was $941 million, up 8% from the prior-year period in actual dollars and 12% when adjusted for currency, with 16.5% operating profit margin, compared to 16.1% in the prior-year period. Aruba Services revenue was up double-digits from the prior-year period and Intelligent Edge as-a-Service ARR(3) was up more than 60% from the prior-year period.
  • High Performance Computing & Artificial Intelligence (“HPC & AI”) revenue was $830 million, up 12% from the prior-year period in actual dollars and 15% when adjusted for currency, with 3.4% operating profit margin, compared to 3.8% from the prior-year period. HPC market share expanded to 39% and includes four of the global top 10 supercomputers.
  • Compute revenue was $3.0 billion, down 3% from the prior-year period in actual dollars and down 1% when adjusted for currency, with 13.3% operating profit margin, compared to 11.2% from the prior-year period. Margin expansion was driven by strategic pricing actions, more than offsetting input cost increases.
  • Storage revenue was $1.2 billion, down 2% from the prior-year period in actual dollars and up 1% when adjusted for currency, with 14.7% operating profit margin, compared to 15.1% from the prior-year period, and up 210 basis points sequentially, with favorable mix shift.
  • Financial Services revenue was $817 million, down 3% from the prior-year period in actual dollars and up 1% when adjusted for currency, with 11.8% operating profit margin, compared to 11.1% from the prior-year period.

HPE first to offer servers powered by Ampere's Altra CPUs

 Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) will deliver a new ProLiant RL300 Gen11 server in Q3 2022 powered by the Ampere Altra and Ampere Altra Max cloud-native processors. 

HPE is the first major server provider to deliver a new line of cloud-native compute solutions using processors from Ampere. 

The new HPE ProLiant RL Gen 11 servers provide a single socket that delivers up to 128 cores per socket for scale-out compute.

Red Hat joins HPE GreenLake ecosystem

 Red Hat is joining the HPE GreenLake ecosystem. 

The partnership combines HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform with Red Hat’s enterprise open source technologies will help address IT organizations’ need for agile technology solutions that can accelerate business outcomes and help fuel their digital transformations.

HPE reports Q2 sales of $6.7B, strong demand, supply chain issues

Citing strong customer and growth in subscription sales, Hewlett Packard Enterprise reported Q2 revenueof $6.7 billion, up 0.2% and 1.5% adjusted for currency from the prior-year period and in line with Q2 outlook. Diluted net earnings per share (GAAP) were $0.19, flat from the prior-year period primarily due to $126 million of Russia-related charges. Non-GAAP earnings amounted to $0.44, down 4% from the prior-year period due to impact from Russia-related operations and currency.

“Persistent demand led to another quarter of significant order growth and higher revenue for HPE, underscoring the accelerating interest customers have in our unique edge-to-cloud portfolio and our HPE GreenLake platform,” said Antonio Neri, president, and CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise. “I am optimistic that demand will continue to be strong, given our customers’ needs to accelerate their business resilience and competitiveness. Segment Results

  • Intelligent Edge revenue was $867 million, up 8% from the prior-year period in actual dollars and 9% when adjusted for currency, with 12.6% operating profit margin, compared to 15.7% in the prior-year period. Aruba Services revenue was up double-digits from the prior-year period and Intelligent Edge as-a-Service ARR4 was up 50%+ from the prior-year period.
  • High Performance Computing & Artificial Intelligence (“HPC & AI”) revenue was $710 million, up 4% from the prior-year period in actual dollars and 5% when adjusted for currency, with (5.6%) operating profit margin, compared to 2.6% from the prior-year period. The operating loss was driven by supply constraints and delayed customer acceptances. We remain on track to exceed the expected 11% market CAGR from FY21-24.
  • Compute revenue was $3.0 billion, flat from the prior-year period in actual dollars and up 1% when adjusted for currency, with 13.9% operating profit margin, compared to 11.2% from the prior-year period. Margin expansion was driven by strategic pricing actions more than offsetting input cost increases.
  • Storage revenue was $1.1 billion, down 3% from the prior-year period in actual dollars and 2% when adjusted for currency, with 12.6% operating profit margin, compared to 16.8% from the prior-year period reflecting higher supply chain costs and unfavorable mix shift.
  • Financial Services revenue was $823 million, down 2% from the prior-year period in actual dollars and flat when adjusted for currency, with 12.6% operating profit margin, compared to 10.8% from the prior-year period. Net portfolio assets of approximately $12.6 billion, down 4% from the prior-year period or up 1% when adjusted for currency. The business delivered return on equity of 20.4%, up 2.1 points from the prior-year period, well above pre-pandemic levels.

HPE targets RAN Automation and Orchestration

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) announced a service management and orchestration solution that provides multi-vendor management and automation for Radio Access Networks (RANs).

HPE RAN Automation is a pre-integrated cloud-native solution, delivered as a service. It leverages HPE operations support systems and artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) technologies to offer zero-touch management of multi-vendor RAN infrastructure. The solution orchestrates the full life-cycle of both virtual Distributed Units (vDUs) and virtual Centralized Units (vCUs), enabling operators to dynamically configure radio frequency parameters and optimize the use of radio access resources and spectrum.

“While the direction towards the open disaggregated RAN is clear, many operators will have to manage a mixture of existing 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G, virtualized RAN and Open RAN solutions over the next few years,” said Tom Craig, VP and GM, HPE Communications Technology Group. “The winners will be those who embrace automation and commit to a disaggregated, open, multi-vendor future. HPE Spaceborne Computer-2 brings edge to ISS

The HPE Spaceborne Computer-2 (SBC-2), which is deployed on the International Space Station (ISS), has successfully completed 24 research experiments requiring real-time data processing. These experiments spanned uses cases supporting healthcare, image processing, natural disaster recovery, 3D printing, 5G, and solutions enabled by artificial intelligence.

HPE launched Spaceborne Computer-2, in collaboration with the ISS National Laboratory, to space in February 2021 and was installed on the ISS in May 2021. The solution is comprised of HPE’s edge computing solutions, the HPE Edgeline Converged EL4000 Edge system, which provides a rugged and compact system designed to perform in harsher edge environments, such as space, and the HPE ProLiant DL360 server, an industry-standard server, for additional high-performing capabilities to target a range of workloads, including edge, HPC, AI, etc.

The edge computing capabilities delivered through SBC-2 also have the potential to enable astronauts and space explorers to send data to Earth, whether to be further analyzed or used in another way, at a radically compressed size and faster speed. Previously, 1.8 GB of raw DNA sequence data took an average time of 12.2 hours just to download to Earth for initial processing. With SBC-2, researchers onboard the space station processed that same data in six minutes to gather meaningful insights, compressed it to 92 KB and sent it to Earth in just two seconds, representing a 20,000X speed-up.

HPE expands its GreenLake edge-to-cloud portfolio

HPE is rolling out significant enhancements to its flagship GreenLake hybrid cloud platform.

HPE GreenLak, which supports on-premise, edge, colocation, and public cloud deployments, is gaining traction worldwide, according to the company. In Q1 2022, HPE reported annual recurring revenue of $798 million, and increased as-a-service orders 136 percent year-over-year. The HPE GreenLake platform provides the foundation for more than 50 cloud services, including electronic health records, ML Ops, payments, unified analytics, and SAP HANA, as well as a wide- array of cloud services from partners.


Platform updates include:

  • Convergence of Aruba Central, a cloud-native, AI-powered network management solution, with the HPE GreenLake platform. Now, more than 120,000 Aruba networking customers, which includes nearly 2 million devices to manage and 2 million API calls per day, can use the HPE GreenLake platform to order services on-demand and manage their assets.
  • A new, unified operational experience that provides a simplified view and access to all cloud services, spanning the entire HPE portfolio, with single sign-on access, security, compliance, elasticity, and data protection.
  • 12 new cloud services in networking, data services, high performance computing and compute operations management.
  • HPE GreenLake for Block Storage -- a block storage as-a-Service with a 100% data availability guarantee built-in on a cloud operational model. 
  • Enhanced HPE Backup and Recovery Service for hybrid cloud.
  • New, purpose-built HPC capabilities for data-intensive workloads

HPE offers 5G RAN virtualized DU powered by Qualcomm accelerator

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) will deliver 5G distributed units powered by Qualcomm Technologies X100 5G RAN inline accelerator card and its HPE ProLiant DL110 Gen10 Plus Telco Server.

The Qualcomm X100 5G RAN accelerator card, which leverages a combination of DSPs and ARM CPUs, offloads Layer 1 and Layer 2 MAC functionality, including compute-intensive 5G baseband processing. 

HPE's 5G RAN virtualized distributed unit (vDU) solution is designed to support up to four high-performance accelerator cards in a small footprint 1U server, which lowers power consumption, even while supporting dense 5G mid-band and massive MIMO use cases.

Qualcomm intros 5G DU accelerator card

Qualcomm introduced its 5G DU X100 PCIe inline accelerator card with concurrent Sub-6 GHz and mmWave baseband support.

The accelerator card is designed to ease of deployment with O-RAN fronthaul and 5G NR layer 1 High (L1 High) processing. It plugs into standard Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) servers to offload CPUs from latency-sensitive and compute-intensive 5G baseband functions such as demodulation, beamforming, channel coding, and Massive MIMO computation needed for high-capacity deployments. For use in public or private networks, this accelerator card aims to give carriers the ability to increase overall network capacity and fully realize the transformative potential of 5G.


Qualcomm targets 5G RAN platforms

NTT WEST Group deploys HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform

 NTT Business Solutions, a member company of NTT WEST Group, has selected the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform to deliver its growing ‘Regional Revitalization Cloud’ and provide a hybrid cloud service to local governments, educational institutions and businesses across western Japan. 

NTT WEST Group has deployed the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform running HPE ProLiant for Microsoft Azure Stack Hub enabling NTT WEST Group to provide Azure-consistent services from its own data centers. NTT WEST Group selected the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform to quickly accommodate the different requirements, resources and budgets across the various prefectures. The first cloud services have been launched in Kyoto, Tottori, and Aichi and are rolling out in individual data centers across a total of 30 different prefectures across the western part of Japan.

HPE cites record demand for its edge-to-cloud portfolio

Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) reported revenue of $7.4 billion for its fourth quarter, ended October 31, 2021, up 7% sequentially and above normal sequential seasonality; up 2% from the prior-year period or flat when adjusted for currency. Non-GAAP diluted net EPS was $0.52, compared to $0.41 in the prior-year period and at the high end of the previously provided outlook of $0.44 to $0.52 per share. Fourth quarter non-GAAP diluted net EPS excludes after-tax adjustments of $1.39 per diluted share primarily related to the judgment in the Itanium litigation with Oracle partially offset by transformation costs, early debt redemption costs, stock-based compensation expense and the amortization of intangible assets.

Segment Results

Intelligent Edge revenue was $815 million, up 4% from the prior-year period or 2% when adjusted for currency, with 10.7% operating profit margin, compared to 12.3% from the prior-year period. Aruba Services revenue was up high-single digits from the prior-year period when adjusted for currency and Intelligent Edge aaS ARR was up triple-digits from the prior-year period.

High Performance Computing & Artificial Intelligence (HPC & AI) revenue was $1.0 billion, up 1% from the prior-year period or flat when adjusted for currency, with 14.3% operating profit margin, compared to 13.0% from the prior-year period. We remain on track to achieve 8-12% CAGR outlook from FY20 to FY22.

Compute revenue was $3.2 billion, up 1% from the prior-year period or down 1% when adjusted for currency, with 9.4% operating profit margin, compared to 6.6% from the prior-year period. Revenue was up 4% from the prior-quarter period and 4% from the prior-quarter period when adjusted for currency, and above normal sequential seasonality.

Storage revenue was $1.3 billion, up 3% from the prior-year period or up 2% when adjusted for currency, with 13.8% operating profit margin, compared to 18.2% from the prior-year period. All flash Arrays grew 7% from the prior-year period led by Primera, up strong double-digits from the prior-year period. Notable strength in software-defined solutions, including Nimble, up 4% from the prior-year period with strong momentum in dHCI growing double-digits.

Financial Services revenue was $858 million, up 1% from the prior-year period or flat when adjusted for currency, with 14.1% operating profit margin, compared to 7.8% from the prior-year period. Net portfolio assets were flat from the prior-year period or down 1% when adjusted for currency. The business delivered return on equity of 23.8%, up 10.9 points from the prior-year period.

HPE adds analytics and data protection to GreenLake Edge-to-Cloud

Hewlett Packard Enterprise announced new analytics and data protection capabilities for its GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform.

The new offerings include the following:

  • HPE GreenLake for analytics – open and unified analytics cloud services to modernize all data and applications everywhere – on-premises, at the edge, and in the cloud
  • HPE GreenLake for data protection – disaster recovery and backup cloud services to help customers take ransomware head-on and secure data from edge-to-cloud
  • HPE Edge-to-Cloud Adoption Framework and automation tools to accelerate and de-risk the path to a cloud experience everywhere

“The big data and analytics software market, which IDC predicts will reach $110 billion by 20231, is ripe for disruption, as customers seek a hybrid solution for enterprise datasets on-premises and at the edge,” said Antonio Neri, president and CEO, at HPE. “Data is at the heart of every modernization initiative in every industry, and yet organizations have been forced to settle for legacy analytics platforms that lack cloud-native capabilities, or force complex migrations to the public cloud that require customers to adapt new processes and risk vendor lock-in. ”


The HPE GreenLake platform now has more than 1,200 customers and $5.2 billion in total contract value. In HPE’s most recent quarter, Q3 2021, HPE announced that the company’s Annualized Revenue Run Rate was up 33 percent year-over-year, and as-a-service orders up 46 percent year-over-year3. Most recently, HPE announced HPE GreenLake platform wins with Woolworths Group, Australia and New Zealand’s largest retailer, and the United States National Security Agency.

HPE names Fidelma Russo as CTO

Hewlett Packard Enterprise named Fidelma Russo as Chief Technology Officer for the company. In this role, Russo will lead the innovation agenda and technology roadmap for HPE and manage the design and development of the HPE Greenlake edge-to-cloud platform.


Russo most recently served as senior vice president and general manager of the Cloud Services business unit at VMware. She has also held senior leadership positions at Dell EMC, HP, Iron Mountain and Sun Microsystems. She currently serves as a director of SBA Communications and sits on the Audit Committee.

Fidelma holds a bachelor’s of science degree in electrical engineering from University College Cork, a master’s in computer science degree from Boston University, and completed the Internet of Things Executive education program at MIT’s Sloan School of Management.

NSA awards $2 billion contract to HPE for managed cloud

The U.S. National Security Agency (NSA) awarded a 10-year, $2 billion contract to Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) for high-performance computing (HPC) technology as a service through the HPE GreenLake platform.

The HPE GreenLake platform provides fully managed, secure cloud services on-premises.

HPE said its service includes a combination of HPE Apollo systems and HPE ProLiant servers, which ingest and process high volumes of data, and support deep learning and artificial intelligence capabilities. As part of the HPE GreenLake service, HPE will build and manage the complete solution that will be hosted at a QTS data center, a hosting facility that delivers secure, compliant data center infrastructure and robust connectivity to support scaling of operations.

The new service will go into use starting in 2022.

HPE completes acquisition of Zerto for cloud data management


Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) completed its previously-announced acquisition of Zerto, an industry leader in cloud data management and protection, for $374 million. 

HPE said the acquisition immediately positions the HPE GreenLake edge-to-cloud platform in the high-growth data protection market with a proven solution and further propels HPE’s storage business into a cloud-native, software-defined data services business.

“Data is the most critical asset and is essential to operate in this new digital economy,” said Tom Black, Senior Vice President and General Manager of HPE Storage. “Our customers continue to face complexity in managing and protecting their data. HPE builds exascale supercomputer for Argonne National Lab

The U.S. Department of Energy’s Argonne National Laboratory has selected Hewlett Packard Enterprise to build a new testbed supercomputer to prepare critical workloads for future exascale systems that will deliver up to four times faster performance than Argonne’s current supercomputers.

The new system, which Argonne has named Polaris, will deliver approximately 44 petaflops of peak double precision performance and nearly 1.4 exaflops of theoretical AI performance, which is based on mixed-precision compute capabilities.

Polaris uses 280 HPE Apollo Gen10 Plus systems, which are HPC and AI architectures built for the exascale era and customized to include the following:

  • 560 2nd and 3rd Gen AMD EPYC processors
  • 2240 NVIDIA A100 Tensor Core GPUs, making it ALCF’s largest GPU-based system to date.
  • HPE Slingshot, a high performance Ethernet fabric designed for HPC and AI solutions. HPE Slingshot will also be featured in Argonne’s Aurora exascale system.
  • HPE Performance Cluster Manager, a system management software solution.

HPE to acquire Zerto for cloud data management

Hewlett Packard Enterprise agreed to acquire Zerto, an industry leader in cloud data management and protection, for $374 million in cash. 

Zerto’s journal-based continuous data protection (CDP) technology includes disaster recovery, backup, and data mobility in a single cloud data management and protection software solution that spans on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments. 

Zerto helps customers recover in minutes from ransomware, cyberattacks, and other unplanned downtime bringing data back to its original state just seconds before the attack or disruption. Zerto also easily replicates and migrates data between VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V environments and natively to Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.

HPE expects the data protection as a service (aaS) market to grow from $7.7B in 2020 to $15.3B in 2024, representing a 19% CAGR.  Zerto will be available aaS through HPE GreenLake and Data Services Cloud Console.

HPE said the deal expands its GreenLake portfolio and HPE Storage’s shift to a cloud-native, software-defined data services business.

HPE bets big on its GreenLake Cloud Platform

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is rolling out a slew of enhancements to its GreenLake platform for cloud services in the data center, in a colocation center, and at the edge. Innovations span applications, security, silicon and software with automated, cloud-native capabilities that can be performed in just a few clicks and managed in a unified platform.

The company says its HPE GreenLake cloud platform now has over 1,200 customers representing $4.8 billion in total contract value. HPE also claims a 95% customer renewal rate.

“Organizations today know that to succeed in their industries, they must pursue a cloud everywhere mandate, which enables them to collect, analyze, and act on data, wherever it resides,” said Antonio Neri, president and CEO at HPE. “The HPE GreenLake edge to cloud platform empowers organizations to harness the power of all their data, regardless of location, and today’s announcements further extend HPE’s leadership in this hybrid cloud market. At its HPE Discover virtual event, HPE made the following announcements concerning the HPE GreenLake cloud platform:

HPE GreenLake Lighthouse: Agile, cloud-native solution that addresses configuration complexity to rapidly deliver multiple cloud services on-demand. HPE GreenLake Lighthouse, which provides a seamless, intelligent operational experience to easily run and manage different workload-optimized solutions. HPE Greenlake Lighthouse is built with HPE Ezmeral software to autonomously optimize different cloud services and workloads by composing resources to deliver the best performance, lowest cost or a balance of both, depending on business priorities.

Project Aurora: a foundation for HPE GreenLake’s zero-trust framework for HPE’s edge-to-cloud architecture. Project Aurora will embed within the HPE GreenLake cloud platform building blocks to automatically and continuously verify the integrity of the hardware, firmware, operating systems, platforms, and workloads, including security workloads. In addition, Project Aurora’s continuous attestation capabilities can be used to automatically detect advanced threats from silicon to cloud, in seconds compared to today’s average of 28 days. These capabilities help enterprises potentially minimize data loss, unauthorized encryption, and valuable data and intellectual property corruption. Project Aurora also complements existing security investments to reduce downtime and protect productivity and revenue. The new initiative builds upon HPE’s silicon root of trust technology. 

Silicon on-Demand: gaining processor core capacity in just a few clicks. The new pay-per-use, consumption-based pricing model  will optimize at the silicon level to offer a more granular cloud experience with better metering, reduced buffering time and faster deployment. Available first via the HPE GreenLake cloud platform, HPE will offer flexible consumption capabilities with Silicon on-Demand, a first-of-its-kind feature, developed in partnership with Intel, to add new capacity at a processor core and persistent memory level using Intel Optane technology. HPE is removing the need to order or install new processors by allowing customers to instantly activate and pay for more capacity with just a click.

Compute Cloud Console: delivering intuitive automatic management for unified compute operations as a service.  The Compute Cloud Console simplifies the infrastructure management experience with a seamless as-a-service experience no matter where workloads are running, from edge to cloud. Additionally, it automates manual tasks such as provisioning and lifecycle management, speeding up time-to-market and eliminating inconsistencies due to human error.
