ATIS Develops LTE Mobile Alert System

The Alliance for Telecommunications Industry Solutions (ATIS) has completed a standard (ATIS-0700010) which enables the Commercial Mobile Alert System (CMAS) to be broadcast over LTE networks. Huawei Shows Intelligent Optical Distribution Network

Huawei previewed an Intelligent Optical Distribution Network (iODN) prototype that aims to help network operators automatically locate and operate target optical fibers in large scale FTTH rollouts. The problem arises because the number of optical fibers being used in FTTH projects growing exponentially. This leads to a high error rate when optical fiber connection data is entered manually. Motorola and Nokia Sign 4G Licensing Agreement

Motorola and Nokia have extended their existing intellectual property licensing agreement to include 4G cellular technologies, including LTE, WiMAX and LTE-Advanced.
