Nokia Invests US$75 million in Chennai Manufacturing

Nokia will invest approximately US$75 million to upgrade its manufacturing plant in Sriperumbudur, Chennai, India, during 2008. This investment is geared towards enhancing the capacity of the manufacturing plant to cater to the burgeoning need of the Indian and other emerging markets. Vitesse Expands in Hyderabad

Vitesse plans to significantly increase its presence in Hyderabad, India, where it currently manages a design-development center. Tele Greenland, which has been providing telecom service in Greenland for 75 years, awarded a contract to Alcatel-Lucent to deploy a 4,600 kilometer submarine cable network linking Greenland to Iceland and Canada.
