The Local Internet Service Company (LISCO), a leading competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) serving in the Fairfield, Iowa area has begun purchasing Occam's BLC 6000 Fiber products as part of a strategy to overbuild Fairfield with fiber to the home (FTTH). Qwest Reports Improved Profitability

Qwest Communications reported quarterly earnings of $240 million, or $0.12 per diluted share compared with earnings of $88 million, or $0.05 per diluted share in the first quarter 2006.
