Ericsson and TATA Sign CDMA2000 1X Expansion Contract

India's TATA Teleservices (TTSL) is deploying Ericsson's AXE-based MSCs throughout 12 new circles in TTSL's CDMA2000 1X network. Ericsson previously supplied its end-to-end CDMA2000 1X network solution in the Tamil Nadu and Karnataka circles, as well as core network equipment in four other TTSL circles. Verizon Wireless and Nextel Communications reached an agreement resolving all their legal disputes. The two companies are dismissing their pending lawsuits against each other, and releasing each other from all other existing claims. BroadVox, which is offering broadband telephony services in 92 North American markets, has selected TeleCommunication Systems (TCS) as its E9-1-1 VoIP provider.
