Cisco Systems will purchase $150 million of VMware Class A common shares currently held by EMC Corporation. This will give Cisco approximately 1.6 percent of VMware's total outstanding common stock (less than one percent of the combined voting power of VMware's outstanding common stock). The Government of Saskatchewan is deploying a Cisco Outdoor Wireless Network Solution to provide free Internet access to businesses, residents and visitors across the Province's largest four cities. SaskTel is spearheading the design and deployment of the outdoor wireless solution, which includes Cisco Aironet 1500 Series Outdoor Mesh Access Points at more than 450 locations in Saskatoon, Regina, Prince Albert and Moose Jaw. Covad Communications has extended the commercial line sharing agreement it has with AT&T's local telephone companies. The deal guarantees access to AT&T copper and remote-terminal facilities for new Covad line share customers through May 2009.
