Oracle to Acquire for DNS Operations

Oracle has agreed to acquire Dyn, a leading cloud-based Internet Performance and Domain Name System (DNS) provider that monitors, controls, and optimizes Internet applications and cloud services. Financial terms were not disclosed, although media reports valued the deal at over $600 million. Palo Alto Networks reported sales of $398.1 million for its first quarter of fiscal 2017, up 34% compared with total revenue of $297.2 million for the fiscal first quarter 2016. NTT Launches New Submarine Cable-Laying Ship

NTT officially launched the "Kizuna", new submarine cable-laying vessel, from the Kanrei shipyard in Tokushima, Japan. The 8,500 ton ship, which measures 109 meters in length and 20 meters in width, and which will have a planned average cruising speed of 13 knots and a capacity of up to 60 crew, will be completed by the end of fiscal year 2016. IBM to Add Four New Data Center in UK

IBM is adding four new cloud data centers in the UK to keep pace with growing client demand. This investment expands IBM Cloud data centers to six in UK and 16 total across Europe.
