Bay Microsystems Wins 40 Gbps Federal Contract

Bay Microsystems was awarded a follow-on contract with the U.S. federal government to provide 40 Gbps technology used in the government's global mission-critical secure broadband network. CyOptics, a supplier of optical chips and components, raised an additional $24 million in equity and debt financing in its Series F funding round.
