Orange Spain Acquires Simyo, an MVNO

Orange Spain has acquired 100% of Simyo, the mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) owned by KPN in Spain, which has around 380,000 customers. This brings Orange Spain's  total mobile customer base to 12.2 million subscribers. Netherlands Completes Multiband Frequency Auction

The government of the Netherlands raised EUR 3.804 billion from a spectrum auction, including new bands designated for LTE.  Licenses for some spectrum bands were set to expire in 2013 and have now been renewed.
