Bouygues Telecom has selected Alcatel-Lucent to deploy an IMS pilot network that enables the operator to test new multimedia communications services that are based on the GSM Association's "Rich Communication Suite" specifications. There was a 51 percent growth in the number of fixed broadband connections in Colombia during 2008, according to the seventh edition of the Cisco Broadband Barometer.
