A federal judge dismissed dozens of lawsuits over illegal domestic surveillance of American citizens approved by the Bush Administration, ruling that telecommunications companies had immunity from liability under the controversial FISA Amendments Act (FISAAA). Alcatel-Lucent Supplies VDSL2 for China's Guangdong Telecom

Guangdong Telecom, a subsidiary of China Telecom, selected Alcatel-Lucent to roll out a VDSL2 network in Guangdong Province. Guangdong Telecom is the first carrier to deploy a VDSL2 network solution in China. Specifically, Alcatel-Lucent will deliver a VDSL2 solution based on its 7302 Intelligent Services Access Manager (ISAM), part of Alcatel-Lucent's ISAM family.
