Google and Facebook Team Up for Pacific Light Cable Network

Facebook and Google are teaming up to build the highest capacity, trans-Pacific cable system to date. Alcatel-Lucent Submarine Networks (ASN) and Nokia Bell Labs have achieved record transmission capacity over a 6,600 km single mode fiber.
