Entropic Readies IPO -- In-home Networking Silicon

Entropic Communications, a supplier of silicon solutions for in-home networking, filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission relating to a proposed initial public offering of its common stock. The offering is expected to include shares sold by Entropic and by certain of its stockholders. Joseph P. Nacchio, 57, the former CEO of Qwest Communications International Inc., was sentenced to 6 years in prison for insider trading.
