Covad Communications has begun allowing wholesale partners to order its new nationwide Ethernet services. Covad Ethernet is available at speeds from 1.5 Mbps to 35 Mbps. It network reach covers over 4,000 COs and approximately 10 million businesses.
Partners can combine Covad Ethernet products with Covad's value added services such as MPLS VPNs and class of service (CoS) to gain new customers and upsell their existing customers. Covad's Ethernet services are offered with dedicated Internet access or aggregated with one of Covad's Gigabit Ethernet-based hub aggregation services.

has launched commercial WiMAX services in Taichung City, Taichung County and Kinmen County, Taiwan. The carrier, which has operated a cable TV service since 1997, acquired a WiMAX license last year and then selected Motorola as its lead supplier. Its WiMAX network is now the largest in southern Taiwan.
