TSIC currently provides 100Gbps IP Transit services to customers in the region and worked with 365 Data Centers last year to provide 100Gbps services in six other cities including Buffalo, N.Y.; Tampa, Fla.; Nashville, Tenn.; St Louis, Mo.; Cleveland, Ohio; and Indianapolis, Ind.

Telenor and TeliaSonera agreed to merge their Danish operations into a new joint venture where the parties will own 50 percent each.
The companies said the deployment creates a scalable and flexible OTN-based network that promotes TSIC's vision to support service providers with bandwidth- and network-on-demand transport services. Financial terms were not disclosed.

TeliaSonera named Johan Dennelind as its new President and CEO. He comes to TeliaSonera from the Vodacom Group where he held the position as CEO Vodacom International based in South Africa. He started his telecommunications career as a trainee with Telia AB. Between 1999 and 2010 he held various positions in Telenor, including two years as CEO of Digi Telecommunications.
