Wintegra Announces Two New Access Processors

Wintegra unveiled two new Access Packet Processors suited for wireless infrastructure systems, DSLAMs, IADs, Voice over Packet systems, and multiservice edge routers, and switches. Both processors integrate 2 Gigabit Ethernet MACs, 16 Serial Ports (each providing T1/E1 connectivity), support of additional UTOPIA PHYs (up to 127 on each port) and performance of up to 233 MHz. One of the processors includes a MIPS 5Kc core for Control Path operations, while the other relies on an external host processor. Sampling is expected in Q4http://www.wintegra.com
