AT&T Names Chief Medical Advisor to Support Health IT Initiative

AT&T has appointed Dr. Eric Topol as its Chief Medical Advisor to oversee the design, development and delivery of AT&T's healthcare IT solutions.


Dr. Topol is a premier cardiologist, geneticist and researcher, and will continue in his position as the Chief Academic Officer at Scripps Health. He is author of the best-selling book The Creative Destruction of Medicine: How the Digital Revolution Will Create Better Health Care and editor-in-chief of Medscape. He is also the founder of Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine. Dr. Topol has been involved with the evolution of wireless medicine since its emergence.
