AT&T Rolls All Fiber 1 Gig Broadband Network to Austin

AT&T has begun deployment of a 100 percent fiber Internet broadband network in Austin, Texas, promising download speeds up to 1 Gigabit per second.


AT&T expects to being delivering its first "U-verse with GigaPower" in Austin in December. The company expects initially reach tens of thousands of customer locations throughout Austin and the surrounding areas this year, with additional local expansion planned in 2014
