The crew of France Telecom-Orange's cable-ship, the Chamarel, was forced to abandon ship off the coast of Namibia following a fire. All 56 crew members were safely recovered by a Namibian fishing vessel without injury or incident.The ship had recently completed a repair operation on the Sat3-Safe cable in the Atlantic. http://www.orange.com
