K-Opticom, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Kansai Electric Power Company in Japan, has selected the Teknovus TK37xx family of EPON chipsets for exclusive use in the next phase of its EO Hikari FTTH deployment. K-Opticom will be offering some of the most advanced broadband services in the world, including VoIP and the first Gigabit EPON service in Japan. This is the third exclusive deployment of Teknovus EPON products in FTTH networks in Asia.
