MetaSwitch Enters RUS Field Trial with Yukon Telephone

Yukon Telephone, an incumbent telephone provider in Alaska, is testing MetaSwitch's VP3500 Next Generation Class 5 Switch as a first step towards an all-IP network. The testing is a Rural Utilities Service (RUS) field trial. Upon successful completion of the trial, MetaSwitch would be placed on the RUS approved vendor list, allowing other rural service providers to deploy the MetaSwitch VP3500 in their RUS funded network upgrades.
