Fujitsu Aims FLASHWAVE 4500 at MSOs

Fujitsu announced a Digital Video Broadcast - Asynchronous Serial Interface (DVB-ASI) for its FLASHWAVE 4500 multiservice transport platform. DVB-ASI is the most common industry interface for interconnecting equipment located at a cable network headend or primary hub. DVB-ASI ports on the FLASHWAVE 4500 platform eliminates the space and cost of expensive converter boxes. Each DVB-ASI card supports eight physical DVB-ASI coax inputs, allowing a single DVB-ASI card to transport over 500 channels of digital video. Fujitsu's FLASHWAVE 4500 multiservice transport platform is widely deployed across North America.
