Google Cites Software Configuration for Friday Outage

Google blamed an internal system that generates configurations for a brief outage on Friday of its Gmail, Google +, Calendar and other online services.

The disruption lasted 25 minutes for most users before engineers on Google's Site Reliability team were able to clear the error.
