A U.S. District Court threw out a copyright infringement lawsuit brought by Viacom against Google. The judgment found that YouTube is protected by the safe harbor of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) against claims of copyright infringement. Viacom said it would appeal the decision.
