Towerstream Deploys Alvarion Mobile WiMAX in Chicago

Towerstream has deployed Alvarion's 802.16e BreezeMAX 3650 solution in downtown Chicago to reach additional businesses in the city and ensure Towerstream's customers continue to receive optimal service. The addition of Alvarion's Mobile WiMAX gear provides Towerstream with non-line-of-sight capabilities. As a result, the company can now offer its high-speed, wireless broadband service to additional businesses in downtown Chicago that did not previously have line-of-sight to a Towerstream Point of Presence (PoP).
