Qwest Authorized by GSA for Networx Universal

Qwest Communications received notification from the General Services Administration (GSA) that it has successfully passed the Operational Support Systems (OSS) testing. Qwest is authorized to receive service orders for Networx Universal, the new $20 billion federal communications program.

According to GSA's guidelines, before Networx awardees may begin the actual sales and order-taking processes, they must successfully complete numerous tests, including analysis of its customer-facing portal, extensive OSS testing, and a thorough security review. Qwest said it completed all these steps for Networx Universal in record time, and that it has started OSS testing for the Networx Enterprise contract.
