BellSouth Denies Bulk Transfer of Calling Records to NSA

In response to media reports that BellSouth provided massive amounts of customer calling information under a contract with the NSA, the company said in a statement that it has conducted an internal review to determine the facts. Based on this review, BellSouth affirms that no such contract exists and that it did not provide bulk customer calling records to the NSA.
