JAPAN TELECOM Selects Sonus

JAPAN TELECOM, a subsidiary of SOFTBANK Corp., is deploying Sonus Networks' platforms for its next generation voice network. The deployment includes the Sonus GSX9000 Open Services Switch, PSX Call Routing Engine, SGX Signaling Gateway, as well as the Sonus Insight Management System. The new network will enable a rich set of broadband applications and services. It will also enable greater internetworking capabilities with Japan Telecom's parent SOFTBANK Corp. Financial terms were not disclosed.



SOFTBANK BB began deploying Sonus' long distance solution for its voice network in 2003.
