Telcordia Rolls Out VoIP Routing Registry

Telcordia is introducing a VoIP Routing Registry to provide cross-carrier call routing and administration for IMS-enabled converged services over IP networks, such as multimedia and video services.
The new service, which will be part of Telcordia's IMS portfolio, is currently in trials at Tier 1 carriers and cable operators.


Telcordia said VoIP Routing Registry provides a mechanism to centrally administer IP routing data so that VoIP calls can be efficiently routed over an IP network.
