Motorola Introduces Ethernet Aggregation Platform for MSOs

Motorola introduced a Multiservice Wavelength Transport Ethernet Aggregation 200 platform that leverages Ethernet aggregation technology and 10 Gbps optical transport technology to deliver video-on-demand and other Ethernet services. The platform offers 20 Gbps of Ethernet aggregation and unidirectional or bidirectional transmission services over two 10 Gbps DWDM ITU compliant wavelengths.

The optical element also offers cost-effective scalability in single Gigabit Ethernet increments through the use of Small Form-factor Pluggable (SFP) components. A variety of client-side SFP interfaces are supported, including copper, 850 nm multimode, 1310 nm single mode, or 1550 CWDM optics. http://www.motorola.com/broadband
