Tollgrade Introduces DSL Test Platform

Tollgrade Communications introduced a new broadband test platform that combines a precision narrowband and wideband metallic testing platform with DSL, ATM, IP, and HTTP performance tests. Tollgrade's DigiTest EDGE can be used to isolate DSL troubles between the customer's PC and DSL modem, the LEC's local loop and DSLAM serving network, and the ISP's data network. The DigiTest EDGE test system, which would typically be deployed with the serving DSLAM, seizes access to the line under test and completes an automated sequence of DSL, ATM, IP, and HTTP connection tests. Tollgrade's DigiTest EDGE is housed in a compact environmentally hardened package, suitable for central office, co-location site, and remote terminal installations.
