Cox Business Services Offers Software-based VPN Service

Cox Business Services, a commercial affiliate of Cox Communications, is now offering a software-based VPN service in 17 markets across the US. Cox's VPN establishes a remote teleworker connection delivered over Cox's hybrid fiber coaxial (HFC) network. Corporate and satellite offices in the Cox managed VPN are served on either the company's fiber based network or HFC. The service scales to support up to 1000 tunnels and 200 Mbps of throughput. Cox is using NetScreen Technologies' platform for the service.
