Mexico's MetroNet Deploys Riverstone MPLS

MetroNet, a wholesale carrier in Mexico, is deploying Riverstone's MPLS-enable routers to offer multipoint VPNs for its carrier customers. Specifically, MetroNet is building two MPLS-enabled metropolitan networks in Mexico City and Monterrey with Riverstone's RS family of routers. Financial terms were not disclosed. Riverstone also announced that Optynex, Panama's first integrated telecommunications provider, recently deployed its MPLS technology to deliver Ethernet services.
