Microsoft Plans Massive Data Center Expansion in Quincy, WA

Microsoft has acquired a 200-acre site in Quincy, Washington for a massive new data center for its Azure cloud services.  The first phase of the project is expected to come online in 2015.

Microsoft opened its first data center in Quincy in 2007.

Quincy is located in central Washington along the Columbia river.  Intuit, Vantage and Yahoo! also operate major data centers in the town.
