Google Builds New Data Center in Santiago

In a blog posting, Google confirmed that it is building a new, state-of-the-art data center in Quilicura, near Santiago, Chile. This is Google's first data center in Latin America.

Construction is underway and activation is expected by the end of 2013.  Google estimtes its investment in the facility at US$150 million.
