Quantum is an OpenStack project to provide 'network connectivity as a service' between interface devices (e.g., vNICs) managed by other OpenStack services.
Brocade is demonstrating OpenStack Quantum support for Brocade VCS Fabric technology using RESTful APIs.
Brocade said this demonstration shows how extensions enable OpenStack to orchestrate both physical and logical networking resources as part of a virtual machine (VM) deployment to support multitiered application topologies.
