Ridgeville Telephone Deploys ADTRAN's Optical Networking Edge

Ridgeville Telephone Company, a provider of voice, long distance, data and cable TV services in Northwest Ohio, has selected ADTRAN’s Optical Networking Edge (ONE) solution to extend the transport backbone for its 200 mile fiber optic network, expand their Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) deployments and provide carrier Ethernet service delivery in the region.

ADTRAN is supplying an edge-based packet optical transport solution which includes an integrated service delivery option that enables Ridgeville to capture new revenue streams by delivering premium Carrier Ethernet and FTTH-based residential services. The scalable service separation functionality of ONE allows Ridgeville to maintain a high quality of service (QoS) for its own Business Ethernet customers as well as other wholesale services which co-exist within the network architecture. The solution allows Ridgeville to meet the strict SLA requirements of their own customers, other wholesale partners, and Tier 1 mobile operators sharing the same fiber facilities.

Ridgeville is also ensuring service reliability by utilizing ADTRAN’s Advanced Operational Environment (AOE) ServiceMonitor solution to troubleshoot network issues more efficiently and effectively with tools that provide intuitive, proactive reporting of SLA compliance status and ITU-T Y.1731-based performance statistics. http://www.adtran.com
