KPN Picks Cisco CRS-3 for its Core

KPN has selected the Cisco CRS-3 Carrier Routing System (CRS) as the foundation for its core IP NGN and to support the continuing growth of video transmission, mobile devices and new online services. Financial terms were not disclosed.

"Cisco has been a KPN supplier for many years. With this project, Cisco is working with us to anticipate the future of the Internet holds. By choosing the Cisco CRS-3, we've boosted the capacity, increased the quality and prepared for future growth of our core IP next-generation network," stated Eric Kuisch, general manager networks and services, KPN.
