Brunei Picks Huawei for FTTH

Telekom Brunei Berhad, the only fixed network operator in Brunei, has selected Huawei as the exclusive supplier for the Brunei Next Generation Broadband Network FTTH project.


The network will cover four major areas in Brunei and will offer subscribers a maximum data transfer rate of 150 Mbps. Huawei will deliver an end-to-end turnkey services package that includes active and passive equipment, holistic ODN (Optical Distribution Network) network designs, and construction management. This project will be carried out in four phases and the resulting network will serve over 40,000 subscribers in Brunei after its completion.
