Qwest Communications introduced a new unified communications service platform for enterprises, government agencies and educational institutions.
Qwest iQ Hosted Unified Communication Service (iQ HUCS) integrates voice, e-mail and video services so they are accessible by landline phones, mobile phones, smart phones and computers.
The service leverages Cisco multitenant call management and is managed by Qwest. Customers can easily perform on-site moves, adds and changes (MACs) and other day-to-day administrative functions using a turnkey Web-based, operations system.
Arizona State University (ASU) will be the first Qwest customer to adopt the service platform across its four campuses to serve more than 70,000 students, faculty and staff.
