Broadcom Debuts Single Chip IAD with ADSL2+, 802.11n and DECT

Broadcom announced its first single chip broadband integrated access device (IAD) integrating high performance ADSL2+ and 802.11n wireless LAN (WLAN), along with Gigabit Ethernet switching, Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT), and VoIP for IADs and high-end residential gateways. The integrated DSL+WLAN solution eliminates the need for consumers to purchase a separate DSL modem, wireless router and DECT cordless base station, significantly reducing the cost of home networking.
