Microsoft Updates Windows Live Toolset

Microsoft launched the next generation of Windows Live, providing updated online tools and services for consumers worldwide. The free tool set includes:



Windows Live Mail -- a desktop mail application that provides access to a Hotmail account and the ability to aggregate multiple inboxes from other accounts such as AOL and Gmail and combine multiple contact lists into one. It also provides simple access using a mobile phone.



Windows Live Messenger -- instant messaging with sharing, video calling and VoIP capabilities.



Windows Live Spaces -- photo albums, blogs, lists of favorites and links to personal videos.



Windows Live Photo Gallery -- a means for finding, fixing, organizing and sharing photos and videos, as well as uploading them to Windows Live Spaces, Flickr or Soapbox on MSN Video.



Windows Live Events -- free event-planning, invitation and community-building application.



Windows Live Writer -- a software plus services application that allows users to create and publish rich content to Windows Live Spaces and other blogging services.



Windows Live for Windows Mobile -- provides rich client-based or browser-based access to Windows Live from a Windows Mobile-based device, including Windows Live Hotmail, Windows Live Messenger, Windows Live Spaces.
