Atheros Introduces Mini Gigabit Ethernet PHY

Atheros Communications introduced a single-port Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) PHY measuring just 6mm x 6mm -- or 60% smaller than the nearest competitor, according to the company. The device is Atheros' second- generation GbE PHY and is designed for use in notebook and desktop PCs, wired and wireless routers, gateways, set-top boxes, printers, gaming platforms and network storage devices. http://www.atheros.com
