Spirent Develops Mobile Video Analysis Platform

Spirent Communications introduced a lab-based mobile video analysis solution that allows operators and manufacturers to evaluate the quality of video being displayed on a mobile device prior to deployment of the device and/or the service.



Spirent said its APEX Wireless Multimedia Analyzer (WMA) provides accurate and repeatable content-based video quality assessment. It allows lack of a video source and display deficiencies to be captured, issues that can result in misleading high mean opinion score (MOS) when using other methodologies. It also offers voice and video time alignment (lip-sync) measurement.
