Y-E Data, part of the Yaskawa Electric Group, is developing a UWB wireless hub based on Wisair's silicon and reference design. four-port wireless hub is designed to seamlessly replace any wireline USB connection with a wireless connection. USB devices such as printers, scanners, remote hard disks, and digital cameras can plug into the UWB hub, which can be placed anywhere in the room. Data is transmitted wirelessly from the hub to a PC or notebook via a dongle that is plugged into the PC's USB port.
