Flextronics to Acquire International DisplayWorks

Flextronics agreed to acquire International DisplayWorks, which specializes in the manufacture and design of high quality small form factor liquid crystal displays ("LCDs"), modules and assemblies for a variety of applications including cell phones, MP3 players, industrial and commercial products, and eventually digital cameras. The stock- for-stock merger has an aggregate value of approximately $300 million.



Flextronics said the acquisitions augments its strategy of providing vertically integrated solutions by adding LCD design and manufacturing capabilities.
