US Marine Corps Select N.E.T.'s Promina Switch

Network Equipment Technologies will provide EDO Corporation with its Promina bandwidth manager platform for the US Marine Corps' Transition Switch Module (TSM) program. EDO's five-year, $240 million contract for TSM procurement and related services -- which includes two option years -- is expected to comprise approximately 200 Promina platforms valued at over $25 million.


The Promina platform will deliver bandwidth management, multiplexing and technical control functions for integrating voice and data capabilities as part of TSM's Deployable Integrated Transport Suite (DITS) component. Promina will enable management and monitoring within the network's joint network management system using the extensible standard network management protocol.
