Juniper Networks introduced four new Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) Virtual Private Network (VPN) hardware platforms. The new Secure Access 700, 2000, 4000 and 6000 appliances are the latest additions to the Juniper Networks Secure Access product family. Using Juniper Networks Instant Virtual Extranet (IVE) software, the appliances utilize the SSL security protocol that is available in all standard Web browsers, enabling enterprises to provide remote access to mobile employees, contractors, partners and customers without requiring an installed client. The appliances also allow enterprises to secure extranet or intranet access without a DMZ build-out, server hardening or Web agent deployments.
Juniper Networks said it achieved a 195% growth with its SSL VPN revenue in 2004 compared with 2003.
