Colubris Introduces Wi-Fi QoS Based on 802.11e and WMM

Colubris Networks introduced "Service Aware Wi-Fi QoS" software for its Multiservice Wireless LAN System. The new software, which is compliant with 802.11e and WMM (Wi-Fi MultiMedia), provides service (SSID) defined QoS for legacy and next generation voice, data and video services and applications. Colubris said his enables QoS for differentiated data, 802.11e/SIP/H.323 and other voice devices, video, retail handhelds and also non-protocol devices - such as lifeline and video surveillance devices - simultaneously over a shared, centrally managed WLAN.
