AT&T was awarded a $27 million, five-year contract by The Sports Authority Inc. to provide an integrated networking solution that will help the company expand its marketplace presence and enhance profitability. The contract covers an extensive portfolio of local, long-distance, data, video and Internet Protocol services.
The Sports Authority and GART Sports, the two largest U.S. sporting goods retailers, merged last August to create The Sports Authority Inc., a retailer with 385 stores in 45 states. http://www.att.com
